Nazarovskoye deposit has a status of
gold-sulphide-zinc deposit.
License UDE Nr 01220 BE for exploration and
extraction of gold-sulphide-zinc ore of Nazarovskoye deposit was
issued in October 2005 for a period ending 2025.
Nazarovskoye deposit is located in Yeravninsky
district of the Republic of Buryatia, 170 km north of Mogzon
railway station, 60 km from Sosnovo-Ozersk district centre, 35 km
from the Ulan-Ude – Romanovka – Chita highway and 4 km from
Ozernoye deposit.
Nazarovskoye deposit is located in the territory
of Ozerninsky ore cluster. It is associated with the zone of
Nazarovsky fault and exocontact of Paleozoic
granodiorites massif transecting Lower Cambrian
volcanogenic-sedimentary formations.
Five gold-sulphide-zinc ore bodies have been
identified within the deposit. The largest in size and
reserves (~80-90%) are three. They are represented by the
lense-tabular formations with a steep pitch (60-700). Ore bodies
are estimated as 300-750m along the strike and 150-300 m
downdip. Average ore bodies thickness throughout the deposit
amounts to 3.5 m. Gold distribution in ore bodies is random,
the grades vary widely and reach some tens gm per ton.

Earlier a preliminary exploration was carried
out at the deposit (1978-2002). Since 2007 detailed exploration
activities are on. The Feasibility Study of exploration conditions
and gold-sulphide-zinc ore reserves estimation should be completed
H1 2011.
